Hurghada ... I see no sea

I always wanted to visit the city of Hurghada since I was young, because I know that it is one of the best vacation spots in Egypt and that the sea there is wonderful for both swimmers and divers as well.

I was staying in Safaga, a small and quite city which is not far away from Hurghada, only 60 KM away, so I said since I am not far away from Hurghada maybe I should go see Hurghada.

So I took a taxi to Hurghada, the trip wasn't long, only 40 minutes or something.

Hurghada is a true big and clean beautiful city, especially if compared to the similar touristic cities like Sharm El Shekh or Dahab, I thought it is not gonna be this big, I even decided to cruise the city on foot but I discovered that this was not possible, since the city is really big.

But, there was something that I did not like in Hurghada, Wherever you are in the city you can't get to see the sea! the entire sea view is blocked by hotels and resorts, so unless you are staying on a hotel or a resort that resides directly on the beach so you can forget about seeing the sea! strange isn't it?



People go to cities like Hurghada to enjoy the sea and the sea view, so It is not wise to block the whole sea view and only allow few people to enjoy it!

I stayed in Hurghada for something like 6 hours, and even though I cruised a big part of the city on foot and using a Taxi as well, I only saw the sea just once ... in a small ship yard!
